Color Blocking with a twist

Hello, I am so pleased that you stopped by. This card uses the color blocking technique with a bit of a twist to it. Instead of the traditional technique, I used different shaped solid stamps to create the color block background. It's a very colorful and cheerful card IRL.

The stamps I used are Club Stamp (sentiment) and the Asian inspired tree is from I Love Rubber Stamps.

I have been neglecting my blog and I hope to be posting on a regular  basis. I live in hope, LOL!

Technique Strips

I was able to put this card together in no time at all because I have all of my technique scraps in one box. As you know...we NEVER throw anything out, so keeping all the scraps comes in really handy. I keep all of my technique scraps in a photo box all their own labeled "Backgrounds" which couldn't have made this card any easier.

My projects are from CD 8. I chose Embossed Crayon Resist and Hidden Image techniques. They were a lot of fun and turned out really wonderful!! The Hidden Image technique is called a Bonus Technique. Technique Junkie Stampin Companion CD Blog Hop

The Perfect Pair Once Again!

You cannot go wrong when you pair Paper Temptress paper with a Technique Junkie Tutorial.The card shown uses the Cut Away Embossing technique, and what fun it is! I have used my Cricut as well to cut out the bridge and the laterns. Paper Temptress papers cut beautifully in the cricut and also give a nice crisp impression in embossing folders.
